CLASSES AND PLACEMENT

We use a system of levels to match students closely in age, years of experience and skill levels as well as size, coordination, musicality, attention span and personal maturity.  Dance class is not the same as your grade in school.  Most children will progress at the average rate for their age, but some will progress more or less quickly than others of the same age and number of years in dance class.  We look at each child as an individual and place them in the most appropriately challenging class.  We have found that many children will balk when placed in a class that is a too advanced or demanding class.  We want dance class to be a joyful time that the child looks forward to each week.  When class is too advanced, many lose their desire to express themselves through dance.

When picking up a dancer it is best to take a parking place. Please stress to your dancer to look both ways and to use care in between parked cars. There is additional space for parking in the rear and to the side of the building. Please refrain from parking in the office lot next to the dance school as they have asked us not to park in front of their doors. INCLEMENT WEATHER

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

When Fayette County Schools have a Snow Day due to bad weather, we cancel our morning classes only. Often the weather and roads will clear before our afternoon classes are slated to begin. We keep careful watch over the weather conditions and if necessary, cancel afternoon and evening classes. Should we cancel classes, the voice message on the studio machine will reflect the change, and we will notify the television stations of our decision. We also post our schedule change on Facebook. We make every effort to schedule make-up classes in the event of cancelled classes. As always, your child's safety is paramount. Use your best judgment on attending.

We do not always follow the public school schedule for holidays. Please refer to the studio calendar for specifics on our holiday class schedule.
