Ten of our AP Dancers traveled to Pittsburgh to compete in the Youth America Grand Prix.  We are proud to announce that our Pas de Trois “The Fairy Doll” and contemporary Pas de Deux “Syncopation and Blue” were in the top 12 ensembles.

Taylor McCardle made her way into the top 24 Jr. Classical variations out of approximately 140 entries and was accepted to the Bolshoi Ballet’s Summer program due to her outstanding performances.

Aaron Choate, Natalie Scolf and Taylor McCardle competed at the YAGP Semi-Finals in Indianapolis.   Aaron Choate received the highest award given in the entire competition, The Grand Prix Award, for excellence in both classical and contemporary variations. 1st Place in Pas de Deux for Aaron Choate and Natalie Scolf for their exceptional work in all four of their pieces, La Fille Mal Gardee, Harlequinade, I’ll Be Seeing You, and These Summer Nights. Taylor McCardle was in the top 24 classical variations in the junior age division! These are all major accomplishments as nearly 7,000 young dancers competed around the world in the semi-finals and fewer than 800 passed to the finals.  Aaron Choate was selected to perform at the YAGP Finals in New York.  While in NYC Aaron was given the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Lincoln Center, alongside some of the biggest international stars of dance.  He also took master classes from top company and school directors and teachers.  Aaron also received scholarship offers to some of the most prestigious ballet schools in the world
